Unselectable Chrome 36/37

Description

::selection cascades have been modified, causing our current code (line 55 in dom.css) to cause Input Boxes, to behave by coloring selected text Transparent.

I think we need to drop that rule altogether though I'm curious what the original rationale was for its inclusion. Making the text transparent doesn't make it "unselectable" but instead creates an odd UX.

Also, based on this thread, this only started happening in chrome in April.

I am in agreement, I can't think of the original rational for the rule being in there. And it def just popped up, due to something in the way that Chrome is now cascading the rules. I tried looking through change logs between 35 and 36, and didn't find anything specific about optimizations to the CSS engine, but there is def something different about the way they are handling that selector.
